Everything are change very fast, that's how fast the internet moves. What is a blog? I think it can be an unpersonal diary. I disagree with Professor Crystal's opinion. Because we are share everything to the whole world about our activities, interests and opinion and so on with our friends. How it could be a personal diary? In task 2, I've got the same problem with task 1. I'm still can't hear each words clearly. I didn't catch every words he had said. And I had learned four new vocabulary in this short talk.

After i listen the audio and read tapescript again i can understand what prof try to tell it is about the cell When mobile phone technology came in a few years ago, the term was immediately shortened. Mobile phones became 'mobiles'. Now, cell phone was tricky because some people spelled it as one word and some people spelled it as two. So it seems you can use both spellings at the moment. But either way, people shortened the phrase to 'cell'.nowadays,cell phone is very important to contact everybody and it also waste the time because we no need to wait for a lOng time to speak with somebody...
I have the same listening difficulty in this task 2.I grasp the meaning of the talk by Professor David Crystal after repeating listen and read the tape script. Without dictionary at first, I practise the pronunciations of the vocabulary in his talk.
From this talk "in your dream", I think about what kind of dream do I have? Is it realistic? It is unlikely but possible or nearly possible? Honestly, even I myself do not know how to answer these questions. It is a realism world now, it may impossible for us to have a good chance in doing something or achieve something which we dream of. Sometimes, the dream can't be our “bread”. We may have to give up our dream in order to survive in this world.
However, dream is a pleasant hope or wish for our future. I believe that everything starts with a dream. If you keep on believe, the dream that you wish may come true.
After I listened the topic, I think that the listening practice is help me to listen carefully. I can understand about the topic after I read the transcript because he said quickly. Sometimes I don't know what he said. But I think this is good because when I don't uderstand, I listened the topic again and again. Then, when I read the transcript...wow...most of the words I heard is a true.. I also try to speak how he speak although sometimes I speak like manglish (malay english)..hehe..huhu...
After I listen this topic,I can't understanding the pronounciation by Prof.David Crystal and he read very fast I can't follow him and unclearly. So I listen many times while I read the transcript and try to understanding it.
Beside this I follow the Prof.David Crystal to pronoun the words and I also learn many new words from this transcript.
After I listening and reading, now I knew the peple who were born 20,30 years before and entering their 30s and not knowing how to cope.I think this transcript can give me more information about the human being and it can more understanding the behaviour human.

task 2: In your dream To : Ms Rajina After I listen to this audio, I found that professor David Crystal just let me knoe about the word meaning. in this activity, I disagree our english class listen to this. this is because the example is very few. So, I can't understand before i read the script..... Beside that, their speaking skill is diferent with us, so I can't easily catch up what he said in the short talk. however, i also learn what means by "IN Your Dream" and how can I use it.....
This is the second task I hear. Depend on the task one, I’m be more used to the slang of Professor David Crystal.Even I’m not understand fully the recording, but it’s better compare wih task one. From this lesson, I notice that every country has it’s own and different word for same meaning. For example, the word “mobiles phone” are usually use in UK and the word “cell phone” usually use in United States. Even the word is different, but the meaning are same. This is cause by the slang and cultural from different country. I need to learn it from different country to improve my knowledge in English.

‘WICKED’
Wicked? What is it about? It is same meaning like a wish? May be. No! It not likes that. It’s different between both of them. That is my first impression about this topic when I opened this web site. I felt that the topic was told about something weird. But its wrong. It not likes that. It told me that wicked means: Intensely or extremely bad or unpleasant in degree or quality Intensely or extremely bad or unpleasant in degree or quality So, my first impression is wrong. That’s why don’t judge someone by its cover.
Normally, as usual as I am, when I listen to the communicator in there, I’m still having the same problem but a little bit easy to understand. The problem is listening problem. The communicator speak very fast and I could not followed and catch up the word that he said. Besides, the same problem as task one is slang. I can’t listen clearly what the word that he say’s. And I still confuse about that. When I refer to the tape script and then I can understand. For me the passage is too simple to understand but when I was listening to the communicator it’s different and I think that the slang is my problem in my listening skills. Actually, I don’t like to hear something in English because it hard to understand. Such as listen to English song or English movie. I can’t understand it. The slang is usually my problem. I think I should change my mind about this. After this I want to enjoy English song and movie. I hope when I done this, it can make me be better in my listening skills.
Based to my entire problem, I suggest to management department to think about it and solve this problem for the new student in the future when they have to take foundation class like me. So, if this problem settle I think that all of the student that have a listening problem can become the better than what they are.

Task2: cred After i listen this topic, i can more heard clearly than task 1. at this topic i still have some of the vacabulary are don't the meaning and need to check in the dictionary. for this topic i know that cred is short for credibility and start out at the late of 1970s. i also know that cred have many meaning like fashionable, tredy and something that go down well. After listening to the two task , it help me to improve my listening skills and know many new word that i can use in writing.
Task 2:Phat I choose 'Phat'as my second topic.The same thing happen when I listen this topic.I also can't grasp what he talking about. His spoke fastly and I also felt unclearly.But went I listen to Prof.David Crystal's recording as many times and read the script again,I became clearly.
The new words i'm learn is: 'Phat' is used with things or general states of affairs. It means, excellent, great, cool. Etymologies means the scientific study of the origins,history,and changing meanings of words.
‘Cell’…what mean would you like to think before you listens to the task? Have you think that mean cell of body or something out? If you look up dictionary, you will saw that had many meaning. But in this task it meant cell phone or mobile phone that we use everyday. Today, cell phone is one of important thing that we use everyday, everyone uses it to communicate. Cell phone also can use for search internet, sms, mms etc. The new word I lead in this task is synchronise (synchronize). This word mean: at the same time. This task was the second task I listen and I can understand what did Prof. David Crystal said. I also refer to the transcript to find the new word. This listening practice is good lesson to we lead English language. If we wan to improve our language we must always read, listen and speak.
